Unfortunately for us our experience was not good. The house itself is in need of some tlc. Upon entering we were met with a damp mouldy smell which was also in the kitchen. To air the living room I opened the window which had clearly not been cleaned for quite some time along with the blind which was covered in dead flies and dust. The chair had a large mould patch on it and any cushions in there smelt damp. The kitchen is in need of a deep clean, not just a quick surface wipe in-between guests. The upstairs main bedroom is decorated nicely, with a modern bathroom. However the taps had grime around them.

Despite others feedback the back seating area is a mess and needs a good tidy up and revamp.

Staithes itself is beautiful and this house is in a great location, but unfortunately let down by its lack of cleanliness.

Lovely cottage in a fab location. I’ve visited this cottage many times and it never disappoints. Enjoyed walks and good meals in the local pubs . The cottage is cosy and has a feeling of home very comfy sofas and beds . The owners Lynne and Ian are very pleasant and helpful if you need to contact them for any reason . I look forward to my next visit .

It was clean and tidy. The bathroom is done to a high standard and is a good size. Having the outdoor space was great.

Overall the holiday cottage has been the best we have stayed in in Staithes.

Lovely property in a great location, be prepared to walk up the hill to your vehicle and don’t whinge about it. Its part of the charm of the village, If you want to park your car outside the door go to another town this is not the place for you,

Great location 10 mins walk from the harbour. Superbly equipped kitchen. Plenty of storage space. Nice enclosed court yard at the back. Plenty of seating and nice dining area. Next-door to a lovely Delhi and yards away to the nearest pub. Staithes is a lovely place to explore.
